Gloria was raised strict but born to be wild. Her story explores how music shapes a generations sexuality. Gloria ROCKS!! This piece was created for the Seniors A GOGO theatre project: The Viva Vitality Monologues: Making it up as we go along. This was a partnership between www.seniorsactiongroup.com, www.thefoundationlab.com and www.calgarysexualhealth.ca.
I think we are so guarded not wanting the youth to think of us as boring-old, we do not speak of the past with the deep love we have for it and how it is still a part of us today. I don't see the generations after ours having such a immense change from all that happened in the past as we did. FREE is the word. Much more free then, than any generation of today. We didn't 'open it up for all in the future' as it was only for us, IMO.

It never ceases to amaze me how many of us "Baby Boomers" went through the same experiences and though it was the start of the "free" life and love everybody era women were still so very introverted. Most of us are such late bloomers but I gotta tell you it sure has made the 50's 60's and whatever other years that remain to us rock BIG time! We are free to live out our fantasies even if it is only on our minds. Thank you Gloria for putting words to my feelings!
