  • How was it when you had to route your power wires?

  • @danterakin

There is no easy way to get it thru the firewall. There is a big rubber grommet for a big bundle of factory wire right behind the drivers side shock tower. You have to remove the air filter box to see it. You have to use a knife to cut a slit on the rubber grommet (DON'T CUT THE FACTORY WIRE), and also cut thru the insulation inside the car (it's left of the brake pedal bracket). Then using straighten coat hanger to feed the wire thru. Good luck, it's not fun.

  • @dial2fast After getting it threw the firewall, is it easy to pop out the runing board covers in the front and rear doors? I am trying to install a system for my 2011 Altima and I just want to hiccups when installing the power wire. Also did you just get a Hi to Low converter and hooked it up to your rear 6x9's?

  • @danterakin The running boards are easy to pop off, just becareful when routing the power wire under the hinged back seat (don't pinch and short it). Also when you cut a slit from the inside firewall, you first have to cut through the insulating carpet, then thru a thick foam-like material. I used an amplifier that had a built in Hi-Lo converter. But if your amp don't have it, then you need to use one. By the way I sold the car already, but I have pictures which i can share with you. I'll PM you

  • I have a 05 Altima, what type of box is that? I'm going to put 2 JL 10's in mine as well. I love the box as it hides the woofers and it doesn't take up space.... PLEASE RESPOND BACK... I need a box like that

  • @coral4ya

I built that box myself. That's why it fits like a glove.
