This video is about testing my native rivecane arrows for penetration using my osage bow. Using flint points and wood points i shoot arrows into a turkey body to measure penetration. The results should make primitive hunters realize the primitive bow and arrow is very effective and deadly and very much up to the task of taking the wild turkey!

  • Thank you for the help I figured it was 1 and 1/2 that's Wat iwas makin it how do you think mulberry would hold up too this design ?

  • @joec123able If you do a great job tillering it should work. Take your time and do not stress the belly fibers. Draw the bow short draws after each time you take off wood. Good quality work will make a good bow!

  • I bet the settler that was killed with a rivercane arrow would say they work.bet Geronimo.would tell you they work

  • On my other comment I was saying an arrow is a lot longer so a lot more friction going on whereas a bullet is short and not nearly as much friction going on so if you think bout it I think it seems arrows get better penetration of corse they do have cutting edges

  • Do you know the legal lowest poundage bow you can hunt a turkey with ? I've heard it as low as 35# but idk and I also wanted to say it seems as if arrows get better penetration then bullets ? If you think about it and arrow is ALOT longer then a bullet and some bullets don't penetrate all the way through as most arrows get goof penetration at close range of course from long range a bullet gets more but from close an arrow seems to get more because the length of the arrow also adds lots more fri

  • i would like to be i your email list so i can know when the dvds come out..how can i send my email to you?

  • @BeckumOutdoors Yes im on it, cant wait :)
