Seems simple enough, have a website if you want to marketing on line. Many small businesses, many writers, bands, and musicians have abandoned their website and focused online marketing efforts in Social Networks. Social Network Marketing requires more than just a Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube profile. You must have a self-hosted website under a unique domain name. That should be your main focus and all other marketing works around that core website.
This video continues the series focused on affordable web marketing strategies build around Web Content Management Systems, otherwise known as WCMS. WCMS platforms offer web site alternatives that can be affordable, easy to update and relevant. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Mambo, B2Evolution, and Typo are examples of web content management systems. This video focuses on WordPress as an example of flexible, yet powerful technology that is used by many to create smart, up to date web portals.

  • very interesting video the presentation and delivery of how a "web space" could/can work is a very interesting and large subject, that much technical work has been done in (schools etc) ,but little is shown to a large market, seams to me like using the web still feels about 10 years out of date.

i come from a hobby programming background in 8-bit computers (z-80 assembler, BASIC etc),from that i am always suspicious of "high level" applications.

i'm learning just how outdated i am here haha.

  • @bastardtubeuser What Basic? TRS 80-II, 8bit? Wow you are up there. I recall before there were 8 bits, we were thrilled to make sprites in 4 bit processors! Welcome to the future.

  • thank you very much! This was really helpful!I watched the whole thing, can't wait to watch more!

  • @robizeratul You are welcome. Got new software, will be wrapping a new one on specific WordPress plugins for artists, bands and musicians. Thanks for the visit, view, comment and Sub!

  • Great info Thx for sharing. -Beau Shelby

  • @JohnTheWudman basic on the humble zx spectrum, there was a massive governmental push here during the early 80s to get young children into computers, back then it was all in your hands, i remember having a children book "machine code for beginners" full of kids drawings. By today's standards very complex coding.

Your video here has shown me though that you can have a web space that dose integrate other peoples code, and that in fact in todays "market place " it makes scene.
