There are quite some things to say about 'ecotourism'. Of course initially this is a good thing. But unfortunately the word 'eco' is often misunderstood as an abbreviation of 'eco'nomic. The definition of Economical tourism is making as much profit as possible.
The Kingdom of Cambodia has unique ecosystems and impressive landscapes within the country's 23 protected areas, from pristine beaches and coral reefs to evergreen and deciduous forests which have many species of wildlife, they are now extinct elsewhere in South East Asia, including: the Asian Elephant; Tiger; Clouded and Common Leopards, Asiatic Black Bear; Asiatic Wild Dog; Eld's Deer; Irrawaddy Dolphin; Siamese Crocodile; Banteng; Giant Catfish; Giant Carp; Grey Ox and Sumatran Rhinoceros and also several highly endangered water birds in largest Tonle Sap Lake.
Its abundant natural resources and rich biodiversity hold huge untapped potential for eco-tourism development of Cambodia, Kingdom of wonder!!!
