I'm so glad that you came out to your loved ones and friends. You have a ton of courage especially growing up in a haitian household. I'm proud of you :-)
One advice that I could give is to make sure that you are financially independent before you tell her. I know of many gay Haitians who were kicked out of their houses and disowned after coming out. I don't want you to think that every single Haitian parent reacts that way (mine didn't) but because most of them are often religious coming out becomes a situation where you expect the worst and hope for the best.
1st. Your mom will say Amweee, Amweee pitit mwen pedi nan masisi, ohh jesu, ohh bondye....AMWEEEE then she's gonna faint on the floor and look like she's having a seizure, then she's gonna run around the house yelling acting crazy, then she's gonna cry A LOT, then she's gonna call ALL your relatives and tell them about it Then they are gonna call you and tell you that it's bad, then they gonna talk about sending you to haiti and have prayers for you
