A visual tribute to Batman comic book villainess Poison Ivy through fan art: Poison Ivy, Batman, Comic Books Villainess, Lillith, Prosperina, Jonas Brothers, Cover, Fan Art.
Poison Ivy is an anatagonist and sometime love interest of Batman. She is a Ph.D. in botanical biochemistry obsessed with plants, botany, and environmentalism and depicted as a villain using rare botanic toxins and plant pheronomes to carry out activities aimed also at protecting nature and the natural environment.
Poison Ivy is an archetype and analogue for larger forces: Prosperina, Lillith and mother nature in primal amoral generative/destructive forms. Fellow villain Harley Quinn is her recurring partner-in-crime and only human friend. Poison Ivy is best known as a voluptuous villainness and plays an important role in Batman's vixen rogues gallery.
Poison Ivy has also proven herself to be one of Batman's ascerbic and diabolical foes, complexly also portraying a love interest. Ivy's first kiss is poison, her second its antidote. When they first meet, Ivy's lips plant seeds of venom. When she later kisses him, Ivy unknowingly heals her victim establishing a romantic tension that has yet to see full bloom.
