Central Executive of Union Solidarity and Development Association Yangon Division In-charge, Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee Mayor Brig-Gen Aung Thein Linn Sunday visited No.7 Basic Education Primary School in Yangon Thit Ward of ThinganGyun Township and No.3 Basic Education Middle School in Dagon Myothit (South) Township, and inspected reconstruction work of school buildings being undertaken by Yangon Division USDA. The Mayor also encouraged members of the Township USDAs who were contributing their labour towards reconstruction work, and fulfilled the needs.

Well-wishers from home and abroad are making continuous donations for the cyclone victims. On Sunday, the Managing Director of International Beverages Trading Co.Ltd donated 6.7 million Kyats worth 140 sewing machines, and Lt-Col Moe Aung of ThanHlyin Station 480,000 Kyats worth 10 sewing machines to Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Brig-Gen Kyaw Myint who in turn gave certificates of honour and spoke words of thanks at the head office of Fire Services Department. ********************************* Myanma Agriculture Service has already distributed 900 baskets of paddy strains and 15 hand tillers to the cyclone-hit farmers in SinChayYar Village-tract of Latbutta Township. Accordingly, the farmers are now starting their monsoon paddy cultivation in 2,010 acres in earnest. ********************************* Primary school in Thin Gun Lay village was opened on 12 June and Primary schools of Oo Yin Gone village and Sin Chae Yar village in Laputta Township on 15th June respectively.
