turtle tank with African cichlids

hello all
I made my old cichlid tank in to a turtle African cichlid tank
i use a fluval 4 plus under water filter and a rena filstar xp3
the plumbing is hidden thats why you cant see it
That that rock has been fresh water for 3 + years so it is full of beneficial bacteria

i once forgot to plug the filter in after a water change only had powerheads running for 8 days and the water did not even go cloudy
i tested it and had a few points higher of nitrates
so in my opinion rocks can act like live rock as well if you leave it wet

I sold the clown loachs for obvious reasons.
I also sold the fronts and some others to make room.
There is cork bark in the top right corner for basking i have a uv heat lamp over it that is not on.
The 65 gallon reef tank with the flame angel and yellow tang was the old turtle tank

your tank is little for those number of animal.

@vatancephesi1 cichlids live in high concentrations in the wild

and if you look it up it is better to keep lots of African cichlids since it cuts down on aggression on any single fish

thats one of the reasons why i like to keep them

and it is a nutritious snack for the turtles lol

how long has your tank been running

some times it takes months for water to clear.

Are you using calcium carbonate( dead and crushed coral) for deco or sub strait or driftwood.

Sometimes this takes time to clear up the water with these things (since they alter water chemistry).

Also i do 50% water changes every week on a tank this populated
