Cristobal Cobo es profesor-investigador.
En la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona se tituló a los 29 años con distinción 'cum laude' del doctorado, al desarrollar modelos experimentales para optimizar la interacción entre persona y máquina.
Ha sido evaluador de políticas públicas para el Gobierno Mexicano en nuevas tecnologías y educación. Junto a Hugo Pardo publicó "Planeta Web 2,0″ que hoy registra 160 mil descargas.
En el año 2009 fue becado por la Universidad de Oxford para realizar una investigación sobre políticas públicas europeas y el desarrollo de competencias digitales.
En 2010 fue nombrado miembro del Consejo Asesor del Informe Horizon Iberoamérica 2010, estudio global que desarrolla The New Media Consortium.
