Sandy, I've got to agree with John... not only do you look completely scary in those harsh colors, but all your (previously) nice looking clients now look like they've been transported back to the 1980's, when successful people actually wore loud colors and power suits. Get with the program-- modernity!

Indeed, it's clear that you and Ms Dumont are in different places of consciousness. Your "personal harmony" was not apparent in your attacks or your responses. The new tone here has changed along with your account. I smell a PR mop up. At this point, your public apology to Ms Dumont is too late, along with your statement to agree to disagree. A savvy business person with integrity would have challenged her ideas with respect right from the beginning. Your "consciousness" is quite apparent.

Why the strong attack on Ms Dumont? If this was your position, why not say so from the beginning. Competition amongst professionals is a given, but your previous comments were an attack on a peer in a public forum. You called for her retirement! A cut throat approach may clear the field, but it will not win you any points or more clients for that matter. Your behavior here was poor PR. Ms Dumont showed her class, while you didn't! Client testimonies will not clear the air. It still stinks!

Our account name changed to jkpsc. Again, our philosophies and approaches differ greatly from that of Ms. Dumont. Again, we are at different places in consciousness.

Ms. Dumont's approach is completely different than our "personal harmony" concepts using Art Principles that is applied by our consultants. As a whole, we disagree with Ms. Dumont's approach to contrast and color. Contrast does make a outwardly strong first impression yet in most cases does not truly compliment the individual nor expresses the person authentically. Hers and our philosophies come from completely different places in consciousness. We will gladly share our clients' testimonials.

Ms. Dumont and the work of our consultants is vastly different. Seemingly her approach is to create impact through contrast. Our concept and approach comes from a much deeper place to enhance the natural harmony of the person. I apologize if I seemed like a "rude bully" in commenting about Ms. Dumont's work. Basically we come from greatly dissimilar views and approaches. Some decades back we did document the transformation of our clients but have no recent need to.

I would like to point out that when you click John Kitcheners link above...I received "This account is closed notice"...Hmmmm...I wonder why? Maybe it's my computer...maybe not...

My consultation with Ms Dumont occurred prior to my attending a large business conference in LA. I had to dress for success, create an impression and represent my brand. I made a dynamic impression because of Ms Dumont's suggestions and improvements.
If Mr. Kitchener is so insistent that his way is the right or best way...then by all means show your B/A's or client testimony. Put your talent where your rhetoric is or is this envy and jealousy?

John-
What's up with you? All I read in this thread is bullying language from you, without any photo documentation to support your statements. Ms Dumont displays her results for all to review, while your website contains only rhetoric. She has offered to review your work, and yet we have seen nothing of your "22K satisfied clients". If your purpose is to just trash your competition, my suggestion is to just move on--I'm not listening. My world does not support the success of angry rude bullies.

Dear John,
Please show off your work so the readers can make their own conclusions. If you have over 22,000 exteamely satisfied clients I am sure one of them would be happy to represent your work. I have seen Sandy Dumonts work and have applied her principles of color to my own life and have had amazing results. I think Sandy is right lets see the goods!
Dear John,
you are all talk and no action. Let's see some of your Before After photos. Either put up or shut up.
Coor analysis is not simply about contrast. It is about finding the colors that erase lines, furrows and splotchy patches. I have lots of contrast with teal, but I don't look good in it.

Sandy, you are nothing but talk. I don't need to "show off" my befores and afters; my over 22,000 clients are extremely satisfied with their knowledge, tools and continued results from our company's consultants. Incidentally, for all complexions regardless of ethnicity, teal (blue-green) is the most universal color. Time for you to retire before you dis-harmonize any more people with your illogical, irrational approaches. You are doing an injustice to nearly everyone.

John,
I am not the one who is all talk, John, it is you. I say put up or shut up. Results rule. I walk my talk, but you don't.
Please don't bother the nice folks out there any more until you show us your work.

After looking at Sandy Dumonts website, I agree with pscjohnkitchener that in many cases, her clients look worse in the after photos, mostly because colors look wrong against their skin, like the olive-skinned woman in the cold blue jacket. The dark suits, white shirts and red ties for men and red or royal-blue suits for women represent the 1980s Dress for Success era. Dumont is right people should dress up more. But clothing colors (and dyed hair) must not hide peoples individuation.

sfgent: My 30 yrs research suggests that OLIVE skinned people have cool skin which loses that sallowness in primary colors like royal blue. What would you choose for an olive-skinned woman? You offered no suggestions. The term OLIVE SKIN arose from peasants in Mediterranean countries wearing grunge (Autumn) colored clothing to hide the sweat of their toils. These colors made the skin appear sallow, thus the term OLIVE skinned. Sorry, but I don't want my clients to look like yellow-green olives.

Sandy,
I would ask your clients, "Do you feel comfortable in the clothing Sandy picked for you?" Again, your assumption is to put your clients into contrast which tends to make the outfit show up more than the person. Contrast does NOT make the person "pop" but in most cases opposes the person's naturalness. Therefore, the clothes wear the person. My clients would be appalled by your work and they would not welcome your advice as it would be against the true art principles of natural harmony.

John,
My clients and their friends and associates rave about the results of a workshop, because they look more polished and professional. Clients include diplomats, politicians CEOs. Results rule, and my clients report that they get more recognition, respect and credibility; not to mention promotions, and increased success in general.
