Okay, here's a lesson in using the internet: Using the "Search Bar" on your internet browser, type in such words as "Slaughter," "stress hormones" and "kosher." Then press the "Enter" key on your keyboard, or click your mouse on the "Search" button on your browser. When a list of articles appears, browse through them, keeping in mind that there are credible sources of information, like the USDA, HSUS and various Universities. There are also some junk sources, like religious organisations. Read.

Really, what can you say about people who are actually proud of their scientific ignorance and illiteracy? "AgainstScience" pretty much says it all, doesn't it? A group of arrogant religionists who think all the answers come from a silly book, written by bronze-age people thousands of years ago, that includes talking snakes, magic fruit and a murderous god.

The really funny thing is that if any of these toads breaks an arm or gets sick, they run to the Dr. for modern, scientific treatment.

I am a Physician. yup, a medical Doctor and Molecular Biologist and that is why I recognize that sane science originates from the 'bronze age' books.

Did u know that non ( kosher - halal ) is killed by electric shocking just to keep the blood in the Chicken to add 80 grams to its actual weight causing its expiration data to be less than what it suppose to be !!

@Grumpyninga You have mind of your own so do your own research. Science is based on theory which can be proven wrong or right. I am not condoning science but we also have to do our own research too. Science proved Halal and Kosher right. They regulate meat industry and incorporated some religious related rules, such as protecting animals from stress. They still have long way to go. That's why I prefer Halal. God knows best.

I make it a point not to eat Halal or Kosher; (prepackaged food that isn't prepared is largely okay, such as coffee.)

I affirm the values of living in a Republic; Islam and Judaism are anti-Republicanist and by eating "their" food, I become an enabler for their beliefs which are totally antithetical to my own, so therefore I never touch it.

If Jews and Muslims must separate themselves from the rest of us at mealtimes, so be it; I will not participate in eating on "their terms."

O U stands for Orthodox Union and Jews use g-d names to sheckt an animal slaughter and there are lots of other Jewish stamps like COR Canadian orthodox rabbis or MK Montreal kosher  CRC Chicago Kosher community many many more
