    People who have a strong commitment to anything tend to have greater satisfaction it. That's why individuals specialize in what they enjoy doing; it is an innate human quality.

    And I wonder why she emphasizes the wife's marital satisfaction and not the husband's. It could be that this video is targeted for women. Not sure.

  • I'm not even sure why they mention religion. The marriage studies have nothing to do with religion or religious activity.

    Pay close attention to the words she says: "Spouses who attended religious services together on a weekly basis reported on average higher levels of happiness in their marriages."

    "Spending leisure time with a spouse and receiving pre-marital counseling enhances marital quality."

    Attending religious services together is just a form of spending leisure time with a spouse.
