A.J. Vanegas warms up during an AFLAC All-American scrimmage played at USD'S Cunningham Stadium on August 14. Vanegas, the 6-foot-3, 205 pound right-hander, was selected to play on the West team. Vanegas will play for the Eagles during his senior season next year at Redwood Christian High School in San Lorenzo, California.

my hs team was in the same league as his team
he pitched against us and we got stomped
i think he had like 15ks no hits and 2 walks
it was ridic. i struck out both times against him.
hes a really good guy too. wish him the best

kid can throw 96 at least. I played against his team, they're in our league, he didnt even bother to come and play us. guy is some kinda machine. stanford is hella lucky

I know him! I graduated last year and he's now a senior. Great kid, great player. He's gonna make it big.
