I think you can only "ruin" a song if your heart is in the wrong place. Most times that happens is because someone is trying to capitalize off of someone else's work, often adding nothing. I'm looking at you "The Ataris and "The Boys of Summer."" In this case I have a hard time understanding anyone questioning Jack White's intentions. In my opinion he's just trying to play a song he loves and do it in his own style. Most people can agree that he's an artist and he loves playing music. EOS.

@JimijaymesGuitarist okay cool heres someone who knows about phrasing ty no i agree with you bc like angus young plays easy stuff but he also uses the whole dam neck of the guitar...but he also plays so cleanly so idk everyone has thier opinion of people i just think top 100 should be left to clear guitar players not musicians...its funny u named all guitarists in main stream bands...never a zep fan i hate like wilde he plays too fast its not "smooth" i really am picky

@mis4tuneband If rolling stones top 20 was just technical guitarists you'd see heaps of people that most people wouldn't have heard of and not what we'd think as best guitarists. While awesome Im sure there are 100 guitarist that can play faster and more precisely then Jimmy Page, Clapton, Beck, Hendrix, Gilmoure etc but they dont come close to being as good guitarist. Its more then speed and accuracy. Phrasing in ways that is emotional not logical and adding flavour is the point!

@DJVMFVME You should check out this band Boom Chick there from Brooklyn, I'm good friends with them and I tell the all the time they sound like the white stripes :)
