nice idea, if you plan on keeping that as a skimmer you should screw the pool filter to a piece of wood and place rocks on the wood to hold it down, cap the hole its sucking water in allowing it to suck water though the top that will suck much more debris in and not look as crappy to ur beautiful pond. oh the intake may require an extention dependening on the depth of ur pond, which should only be a few bucks. very nice idea, ill be building mine soon thanks.
