Oh ok, but I think with the technology available, they could make the V10 meet the emissions/fuel standards. But if a new BMW 550 will get the same twin turbo V8 as the M5, just a bit de-tuned, then M5 sales might take a hit. I would save money, get the 550, and like u said make it run like a M5. I wouldn't just be missing the M badges.

It really doesn't make much sense though... not when they're going to be putting the same engine (albeit it not as highly tuned) in the 550. Why pay a premium for a factory M5 when you could tune a 550 yourself to be basically identical?

Good Jesus listen to the sound of that V10, I wish there was no music. I wonder why BMW gonna get rid of this motor for the next generation M5, they should just do what the G-power people did, boost the V10.
