This is a low light test of the Panasonic GH1 U.S.A. version with the stock 14-140mm lens. I am shooting in AVCHD "SH" mode which is 720 60p. (or so it says...) Notice the lines in the image. Has anyone else seen this? I am looking for an answer as to whether its the lens, the camera, or a defected unit I need to return.

  • ohhhhh babbyyy wash that cup

  • does this count as porn

  • The lower the frame rate the better for low light. Less frames per second so each frame has more time to get more light.

  • About the line you see in the white and other part, that come from the low light limit, the video signal is amplified (ISO) and a noise appear. If you low the ISO you can have less noise, but you ay need more light. ISO amplify the video signal, is like a gain, but also the noise increase. You can try with some plugin effect "denoise".

  • Nice Music, what is the title and the composer?

    thanks

    Federico

  • Please could you say what software you used to edit and also the cost?

    Thanks

  • The colored lines are coming from low light issues. What you could do is buy a mount for your GH-1 and put a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens on that will let a lot more light in. You can put almost any lens on the GH-1 with a adapter.

Canon's have aliasing and moire problems.

    No camera is perfect yet.

  • Calm brother. This is normal when you do not choose the correct iso for the local lighting.

Also, the kit lens is a bit dark.

Thinks that you have one of the best cameras of the market to film HD. GH1 and 5Dmark II they are the best, close to the RED.

    cheers!

  • this was an issue with the ISO being too high. it was corrected when I bought a better lens.

  • im get slight lines in my gh1 as well..
