  • @sciencething0101 light dimmer works perfectly fine fore motor speed control. All 4 of my computers 90mm fans are controlled that way. I rewired the end off a ac/dc power adapter and plugged the dimmer to control the speed of the fans... think I wired them in paralel.

    if your referring to a potentiometer then that wouldn't work. a potentiometer takes the voltage away as well as the current. try putting a potentiometer with a motor it won't work

  • easier way to control the rpm is using an led light dimmer switch.. to save ya all the hassle.
