The Ghetto Talkbox

Moot Booxlé demonstrates how he made a cheap talkbox out of common parts, for a very small amount of money and time. The idea for this project came from paranorm's article here: http://spithate.com/labor-of-computer...
This will NOT give you a sound like a pro talkbox, but it's cheap, easy, and fun.

NOTE: This was done before I got into talkboxing properly, and is probably a poor representation of me AND my talkbox skills. I am no longer answering questions about this thing. If yours doesn't work as good as you think it should, consider making a 'real' talkbox, which will give you real results. Details are on my site at:

Why not just drill a hole on the side of the speaker and duck tape the pipe to that? one step less, no? does it make a difference what side of the speaker the compressor sits in?
