Several years ago I saw on TV Dottie tell the story of how she wrote that song. It was when her hubbie left her (or some tragic news) wherein she collapsed in a heap on the floor, sobbing, for hours (or even days), but then she pulled her guitar to her, & that scripture was all she could think in her pain, so she began strumming & the song was born. Out of such pain came such a gloriously beautiful song. The unsearchable riches of God!
