@LoLoEntertainment During a NeoGraft hair transplant, the follicles are harvested from the back of the scalp without a scalpel or stitches. The follicles are then implanted into recipient sites created by the surgeon. NeoGraft has a 'no-touch' implantation device that allows the follicles to be implanted gently. It's not really a 'hole,' but more like a tiny slit that is created by a small instrument--usually less than 1mm in width. Transplants today are not uncomfortable for the patient because local anesthetic keeps the scalp completely numb. Actually, there is no discomfort because the skin is completely numb. Local anesthetic makes for comfortable hair transplant surgery.
