I have this exact camera. I have only recently bought it and am having trouble getting it going. Do you need the battery for the Cds light meter? Or can you use the camera without it? Its going to be extremely hard to find a mercury cell battery in 2011! Have you been able to film with it or at least get it working?

hello, first of all you have to check the AA battery pack contacts, verify if 6v output is ok.
You don't need de mercury battery except for automatic iris, I use it on manual aperture. There is a mercury batt. replacement on "my old camera" on internet.
