  • I see some dredges with the suction for the nozzle being created at the imput to the sluice and others with a 2nd hose running to the nozzle and creating the suction at the nozzle. Is one way better than the other? Which has the advantage? Why? Trying hard to learn the basics from You Tube videos. Spending my time before my money.

  • @Whitebear329 its best to get a up to date dredge. the control over how much silt and rock you allow through makes all the differnce.

  • i noticed your water is not rushing through so fast like most dredges i see have you added something to calm the water , but keep the suction still?

  • @rcsupercubbuilder yes it does do really good on fines. it takes a wail to get use to the adjusting the sluice to get the right action. but i would buy it then a six.. the weight is much easyer to deal with....

  • @scorpiotoyou Does the mini do good on the extremely small fines? I took my dad to amds and showed him the mini 4 and he said" thats thing is a toy" and he pointed to the big six sitting outside"how about that!" The bigger the better i guess, not when hauling it throught the woods i guess!

  • @scorpiotoyou yea lol i understand i was hoping to get away with me and my dad but i get what u are saying its more aquard than heavy i appreciate ur help and ill let u know what i get thanks

  • a 3 or four inch is a job even for two people, if your on flate ground and you can park with feet of the water i would say ether. but if you need to get down slopes or short dist, with uneven ground try the three. you would get a better understanding of what your up against if you went to a store to see one. but advise you to not be fooled by the weight , there only about 250 all together but hauling all that weight any dists is tuff! not for the weeek!

  • @scorpiotoyou thanks would u recomend a 3 or 4 for one to two people

  • its a 4 inch keene mini dredge. there is a keene 4 inch full size dredge as well. just a biger floats and heavyer. and the sluice is 6-8 inches longer? the mini is just fine but does not like ruff water better to get the large one for that

  • is that a 3'' or a 4'' thanks
