It's because they are lifting with one hand near the shoulder but pushing down on the other hand near the wrist...the pusher creates a fulcrum at his own body's center, the more he lifts with one hand, the more he pushes down with the other. We use him as weights at my gym, 100 lbs bench press.

@patio87 It is very fundamental in Tai Chi. I am not established and not very good. I can do what he is showing.

I don't think Tae Kwon Do is an internal martial art. Try studying taiji, baguazhang, combat qigong, xingyi, fajing(fajin) stuff.

i know tat the internal strength was real and i've met many qigong master in china..
hahaha very good demo of "yong yi bu yong li" . wonderful taiji jing!

I've seen some pretty crazy stuff done with chi, but i've never seen anyone make a chair appear like that.... ( 0:53 )
