Tesla Roadster

This is the all electric Tesla Roadster electric vehicle, capable of going from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds. It does so using 6,831 lithium ion battery cells similar to those used on Laptop computers. It has an AC Propulsion controller that energizes the motor to accelerate the car and uses regenerative braking to reduce the speed and capture part of the energy spent. This way it is capable of achieving up to 245 miles of range between each charge. The approximate cost is $100,000
