  • @UmmIbrahim7 Pagans used to drink water, according to this principle, drinking water should also be haram. if something contains indecency or shirk or any other social evil then it can be classed as haram. Birthday celebration has nothing to do with Islam, it is a cultural issue.

    That is silly. As he said, some can celebrate birthdays and some may not want to. There is no record of the Nabi [S] celebrating his B-Day. But to say if you do not celebrate him B-Day while you celebrate yours is utter foolishness.
