There is so much more to this game than you think.. I used to play it when I was little. Good stuff.

The ambiance in this game is just AWESOME. It is a bit scary. x)
The face at the end of the level used to scare the shit outta me when i was a kid.

I love Populous for the SNES, its a brilliant game and I understood it when I was maybe 9 the first time I played it.. Its not that hard to figure it out with trial and error. Mine was a used game from Funco Land, so I had no manual to help me figure the game out.

The houses have to be made into castles by flattening the land, the object of the game is to concor the enemy, and gain your population... I understood it very well and still do today. one fo the best Super Nintendo games if you know what your doing in it, and the goal to achieve.

when Children's Palace toy stores went belly up, they were selling all their SNES games at a HUGE mark down. if i remember correctly they were selling for around 10 and 15 dollars. and this was right in the beginning of the SNES. i was gobbling games up as fast as i could save up money. i bought Populous because of the cover. i was too young to play it correctly.
