People who think this movie is racist should see D.W. Griffith's BIRTH OF A NATION. That's a LOT worse than anything in this movie.

@Thenumber1yoshi I think in this case, Disney couldn't really do anything even if they wanted to; since a school could possily use it to teach about folktales and fables, it's considered educational, and therefor perfectly legal (if it wasn't, my History teacher would be fired for endorsing movie piracy when she showed us Mulan)

@candyqueen5480 and actually do nothing to the people who upload it not stop them or anything.

@candyqueen5480 What do you mean? The movie is here on Youtube. Disney doesn't really care about people who upload this movie as they want nothing to do with it outside of the Splash Mountain ride, but the full movie is here on Youtube, with Disney not really doing anything to take it down, in other words they don't care about it and want to forget it (other than the Splash Mountain ride) so much that they'll actually let people upload it on video sharing websites and do nothing to stop *2bcont.

And then the racism complaints came in

@torturedklown The "Tom and Jerry" DVD's said "Many of these episodes contain material that may be deemed offensive. It was wrong back then and it is wrong now. Yet we have kept them in their original state because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming it never happened."
Sounds like MGM has the right idea!

I'm an adult and I still not don't know if I should watch it, nor that I wish If I could LOL

Did we mention that although we're only showing the animated scenes, they're only about as long as this commercial?
I wish "Song of the South" would be released on DVD and Blu-Ray. It deserves to be.

Personally i thought it was a great movie and a classic... BUT (welcome to the PC-USA) there was a great deal of content that was deemed offensive because it cast african-americans in a stereotypical way... just like everything else in movies and tv made before 1988 or so.
in no way am i saying it's right mind you, but if we got rid of every bit of classic movie or tv that was deemed offensive to someone we wouldn't have anything left.
