They pulled z4root from the market! When we rooted my buddy's Droid a few months ago, we didn't need a computer for anything because z4root was in the market. Now you have to download it and place it anywhere (easy to find) on your sd card and use a free app like "Astro File Mananger"

IF you need to flash stock for some reason (example, you need to take your phone back to Sprint) here is an exe for windows that will make your phone totally stock, http://goo.gl/VAoL8

You can download that (it helps me a lot. I have already earned 11 dollars from all the downloading you guys do!) OR you can go to the Sprint support site and download it from there. hint, every time you find a site like that, BOOKMARK it and sync your bookmarks so that you have them forever. http://goo.gl/FTGgm

@VolledigHD yup! z4root will work on the gsm version. on my CyanogenMod video, I have links to where you can download the GSM version of CM for your phone!

when the timer on the stove went off at 9min, hit home..superuser installed, 30% of titanium back up installed....you rock Josh!, cant i tether it ?

@patrickohara1 YUP! Open up your browser, google "wifi tether" and click the little downloads link! (it will be the FIRST thing you see!) Then download the NEWEST tether (which is pre7, or something like that. The one at the VERY top!) And then install it. Choose the HERO CDMA profile, and press START tethering!

what if theres not a free version of ROM manager? will ROM Toolbox work? or OI File Manager? or Rom Manager Janitor? idk what to do now! please help!!

@wkbordb sadly lookout won't get you your app DATA back though. only titanium backup will. and that requires root

my phone shut off and it wiped all my data, good thing i backed my phone up on Lookout!!!
