Proton Starts about the same time as Koreans car makers did. but after all these years. Korean car makers advance so much. proton is still being labeled as "Low Quality" cars. Why?

You guys arguing are so... ignorant, I might say. Get 2 cars, 1 local, 1 imported, similar specs and price tag, compare it. Done. You will definitely get an answer.

Proton, they are just doing something similar to pump & dump. Higher profits.

Why is proton cheaper? Simple, it's the tax. Without extremely high tax implemented on imported cars, every single one of us would rather get an imported car. Ask yourself, if an inspira is same price as a lancer gt, which one would you choose?

As long as Nazdmi is the Chairman..proton would not achieved anything (as Tun M quoted)..the problem is not the PROTON..the one who chaired the organisation is the pain in the ass...i believed they have many engineers/designers that want the car as u all want it..

Let's not getting emotional.

But the fact is we are not getting the top brains for the projects. Both internally and externally. We don't see Carlos, we don't see J Mays and we don't 150BHP from a tiny engine. Sometimes the reality was good local external parties not being well treated. Surely the local effort will show others in the future a truly Malaysian creation. We don't want to forever losing face.
