  • hammerr settle with time, due to compression of cloths, leathers, etc. often the keys have lowered in the medium so the hammers are lower too.

    Yes you cna tighten the screws (noit too much) and put back the hammers in a good distance from the strings so the action can cycle completely. To be precise, better do that with the action flat in the cavity (and with samples) this method is just to do that fast and with less harm to the back.
