Whatever your reason for loving the islands, nature, or just the primacy of mother earth, The Rondie Pottinger collection offers an encapsulation of what is primitive inside what is digital. These images of the smaller, the slower, and the more organic aspects of life seek to rest in your heart with the same passion that they grew from the artist's.
You are cordially invited.
"What I am trying to do is create a language. A language we all understand, a language we all know, but sometimes forget. If I can remind my viewers of this language, I can remind them of who they are. Over the years as lands, markets, and people change, in some places things have remained the same. What if we could go back in time? What if we could return to a place where time appears to have stood still? We would want to take that place with us for the rest of our lives. This is the essence of the Rondie Pottinger collection."
Rondie Pottinger was born in 1973 in the parish of Manchester, Jamaica. He moved to the United States at the age of fifteen. He attended High School in Brooklyn, New York and went on to attend the University of Rochester where he majored in computer science and electrical engineering. For 15 years, he has been one of the most sought-after and respected graphic artists in New York City for his technical prowess.
