After Germany’s invasion of Poland, in 1940 Joseph Stalin ordered the liquidation of the Polish officer corps, slaughtering nearly 22,000 men in Katyn Forest. Based on this horrific, historical event, Katyn tells the affecting story of four fictional officers and their families as they struggle to uncover the truth.

@lbhkorn Stay strong. Poland wish You freedom and union of all country - South and North without communists. We stop communist invasion in 1920 near Warsaw. 1 000 000 soviet soldiers try conquer Poland and they was smashed. They run away to Moscow. In 1939 They back with nazis. Poland can`t win this time. In Katyn soviets liqudated many veterans of Polish Soviet War. They can`t beat them in honour fight so they kiled them like cowards.

Very powerful film. It really captures the magnitude of the crime by focusing on the hope and pain of the relatives and the guilt of the survivors who had to live with the official lie. The acting is great and the directing is done by the master himself.
The fate of my countrymen would probably have been similar if the soviets hadn't been repelled

Wow. I just watched this movie on KBS, Korea public service broadcaster. It was very shocking at the end. Now I hate Stalin more. He also encouraged Kim il-Sung to invade SKorea in 1950. My sincere condolences to those victims in Katyn. Go Poland!
