Clouds That I like (for female voice, sho, 20-stringed koto, string trio).
This work is a setting of an excerpt taken from Sei Shonagon's classic The Pillow Book.
The music is a reflection on the simple yet colourful and fluid imagery portrayed in the text.
"I love white, purple, and black clouds, and rain clouds when they are driven by the wind. It is charming at dawn to see the dark clouds gradually turn white. It is moving to see a thin wisp of cloud across a very bright moon"

この作品は清少納言の『枕草子』からの引用を基にし，
その随筆から受ける，簡素でありながら色鮮やかで流れる
ようなイメージを反映させたものである。
　「しろき。むらさき。 黒き雲あはれなり。 風吹くをりの雨
雲。 明けはなるるほどの黒き雲の，やうやう白うなりゆくもいと
をかし。月のいと明き面に薄き雲いとあはれなり。」
