@SNIP3RJKS They're designed for chemical warfare. Tear and pepper are nothing. Even a $6 one from the Soviet days can do the job.

Depending on the filter canister...the one shown in the video filtrates warfare gases and fallout particles. It will filtrate smoke...however, it will not scrub the carbon monoxide before entering your lungs. Most users will get the false sense of security that since the filter filtrates the smoke...that it will also filtrate the carbon monoxide. I can go on and on about the effectiveness and correct usage...but that would take up too much space.
