West-later became PK-14, original band 1st show ,1997

I traveled to Nanjing to visit Xiao Sun (early Beijing punk girl) and Da Mao, not knowing Xiao Sun and her boyfriend Yang Haisong made a really cool band called "West". I invited them to Beijing to join the punk scene. They were nervous. They came anyway and had their first show at storm bar that night. Later on they would become PK14 and have one of the largest music followings in China. Xiao Sun unfortunately had a brain anuerisym in 1999 which paralyzed half of her body for nearly a year and has since then stopped performing, she is doing well and we all wish her the very best on this long recovery.

yeah I saw her last time when yanghaisong brought her out to visit at Dos Culegas, she was looking OK, just tired. I'm just so glad she didn't die, Yang Haisong and his family have taken such good care of her.
