This is my first how to do something video lol
it kinda sucks but I would really like to show people how to do this. I made my own recycled yarn out of a bed sheet that I had gotten for christmas that was too big. so instead of letting it go to waste, I made it into yarn so I could knit a scarf out of it. And this video also shows a fast intro to Loom Knitting. Hope you like it!

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm always looking for ways to upcycle materials for weaving. If you are a weaver watching and reading this, note that chaining the strips is not necessary so you can skip that step. Just butterfly the strips into little bundles and wind onto your shuttle as needed.

  • thank you for posting - using bedsheets is a great idea and they can be found super cheap at salvation army store or goodwill or garage sales, if yours aren't ready for the rag-bag yet. Even ask your friends/relatives if they have sheets they never use anymore. thanks again!

  • what a great idea. Thanks for the video. The loom reminds me of when I was a little one and my grandma put nails in the end of a wooden thread spool and we would knit like this through the hole in the spool. good memories. thanks.

  • if you cut round the edge in ever decreasing circles you don't need to join anything

  • what if you just cut the sheet in a spiral like way so you dont need to link the strips together would that work?

  • thats really not a bad i dia i like it thank greener who ever started this should try and get it world wide

  • The music

  • cool idea, cool song! is that Imogen Heap?

  • I enjoyed the video. Did you cut the sheet with the grain or on the bias?
