Mehmet Ali Talat calls himself "president". But his "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" is not recognized. Just a few days before the European Commission publishes its report on Turkey, diplomatic pressure is mounting to end the division of Cyprus. The Finnish EU-presidency offers a possible end to the embargo of Famagusta port in Northern Cyprus. The port could be administered by EU officials, so Turkish Cypriots could export their goods to EU countries directly from Famagusta, which they cannot today.

After the turkish invasion so many people lost their houses and they moved to the southern part of Cyprus. After 36 years Talat is the "Innocent" president of the "Northern Cyprus" who wants EVERYONE in the world to believe that the refugees are DISLOCATED people! :) You are not even funny... I hope you never become "DISLOCATED" person... But you will never understand the pain of somebody who lost his home and was forced to build another one somewhere else while you were drinking your tea...

The isolation will end as soon as the Turkish Cypriots chose not to be Ankara's servants and puppets any more. What more guarantee do they need for their security, appart from being citizens of an EU member state? Instead of that they chose to practicaly live under the Turkish army's occupation, in international isolation, poverty and disrespect.

As long as the Turkish army stays there, they will live in a blackhole of history.
