slmrcs is right. Raistlin doesn't care that people fear or hate him, his younger self might have but after his test he more or less lost all contact with humanity. But on a note on argueing over this, it's hard cause there are more than half a dozen books written by differing authors on raistlins choices and childhood

@20MrBigmac The thing is he did care. That is the reason that he sought to become a god. To get back at everyone and everything that had ever wronged him. The love of the power, and that constant dream of the day when he would make those who wronged him call him master were the reasons he never gave up, even when he felt like dying.

raist was the strongest charactor in the entire series. i knew that since the day i read about him in book 1 "Autumn twilight" till the day "dragons of the hour glass mage" was released. if anyone deserved to be a god on Krynn it would be Raist

I know wizards of the coast abandoned dragonlance (they should have merged it with Toril instead of Abeir if you ask me) but does margaret weiss still write dragonlance under another publisher?

@20MrBigmac Trust Margret's books for TRH claims she's the only one who can sooth his troubled soul. She knows him better than anyone could ever hope to, and no offense like the prequel "Brothers Majere" was great but a small part of me finds books by anyone but Margret to be very sophisticated fanfics
