Created for the show Carpe Diem, taped at Montclair State University. Three Count is a quick look into the world of pro wrestling. The wrestlers themselves explain what got them into wrestling, why they chose to get involved in the sport, and kill the infamous rumors of wrestling being fake, and wrestlers being less than intelligent.

  • FAKE?????? Pain is real!!!! Land on the mat after a power bomb and tell me how YOU feel afterwards! It HURTS DAMNIT!!! I hate when people say that its fake!

  • If you HAVE to do it, make sure you have something else going on in your life, preferably something cerebral because even if you are among the 1% who actually make a living doing it, it will destroy your body, if not your spirit.

  • @Dimitri0809 If the people in that ring are taking out aggression I can assure you they will black listed fast. Wrestlers do not put on aggressive matches, guys like Vader were a bit more stiff but that's only to make it look aggressive. In fact Vader in particular can often be heard during matches (he talked a bit too loudly) asking if they guy was ok.

  • @goth1agw1omw

It's in human nature to be aggressive, this sport allows people to take out agression in a legal manner it has got some roots from boxing in a lot of ways.

  • When wrestlers hit they hit hard it's all about letting the aggression out of the system, One guy takes a hit another allows to be hit you take it in turns to be fair.

    It's respectable.

  • wrestling is not fake its a risky artform

  • Wrestling is NOT fake. It's just scripted and predetermined. It's a real sport in the ring, but the only thing that's fake is where wrestlers play as characters.

  • Wrestler interviews. I love this clip.

  • @GAKIIIIIN

With a name like "Jericho," he's GOT to be dorky.

  • You always here wrestlers moaning about people moaning that it's all fake. Yes they take real hits and 'yes' they put there body's through hell and that part is all real, but as far as winning and losing is concerned then 'yes' it is fake! But then again so is theatre fake and movies and people don't moan about them as much!

  • How did they get Jericho for this? Wrestling has many intellects in particular those that are shown to be otherwise (Kane, Raven etc.). For those that question why you put yourself through such pain, it's because they do that one thing they always wanted to and it's worth that. Yes there are many bad sides to wrestling, and if I had the characters I could list them, but stop focusing on the points that do not matter.
