  • Parents have to get involved with the kids more, games monitored to only one day a week, like Saturday no school nights. Have to go out with their friends and play and have a family night, game day and night, movie night and do your chores and call your grandmother/parents two x a week . Work in the yeard and do community service with your parents at a park or something that helps someone.[ like a shelter*] WE limit Paris to Saturdays with the X-box.

  • obviously its not always the case, but to be steriotypical, childern play video games so they dont have to spend time with real people (friends/family) the parents need to look into why that is (they could be getting bullied etc.) treating the problem with drugs doesnt solve anything, it just paints over the cracks!

  • Thank so much for the video response tstop! You're right, balancing oneself is the most effective way to treat addictions. Some parents are tough to convince about game addiction because they care for their kids and that usually makes them close-minded to possible solutions. Thank you again tstop for the response! I'll continue doing my best!

  • If the child has limits in place, a healthy social life, positive parental interaction etc then that is the only 'medication' needed to break a video game addiction- i agree with u dude ; )
