  • "the iraqis tried to topple the statue themselves, but US marines quickly lent them a hand." this staged scene is indeed a great metaphor for the staged war of 'liberation.'

  • @phoolinn Wrong, you confuse the U.S.A. with big multi-national corporations which turn profit for the banks. The national and patriotic perspective is only there in order to convince people to do the dirty work and to denounce dissenters as unpatriotic. All for the benefit of the corporations and banks.

  • الموت لصدام

  • Read the book Sniper about this scene. I can't say either way but the words of a marine hold pretty true to me.

  • that day was one of my best days in my life.. I was realy happy... how I haaaaaate Saddam

  • @martynspeck Indeed, look at Iraq today! It has the potential to becoming a great nation, something that under Saddam would never have been possible! The joyous cheer of the civilians after seeing Saddam's statue destroyed is palpable, this video tried to deny that it was genuine but to me it failed miserably!

  • USMC FTW!!!

  • Even with your propaganda voice over you can see genuine joy from the Iraqis taking down the statue. The Iraqis have their oil, we didn't steal it, and the Iraqis are safer now than they were under Saddam.

  • Well, they were liberated. Saddam was not Mother Teresa.....
