@waterspirit2 I was 12(im 14 now) when i got bored and started flipping through the channels on tv, i found this show and i was curious, so i watched it lol and ive loved it ever since. its very fun to be the only one in my group of friends to watch this cuz i bring up somethin funny from it and be the only one to get the joke

@PeterPiper00 Yup. You got it. They were weird because they weren't weird. Makes everyone realize just how weird "normal" is. They were the best part of my childhood which was not normal due to a a very physically ill & untreated Mom and an autistic Dad! If I have a bad day i think of them & they comfort me. So have a vampire & part time mad scientist, a Frankenstein monster, a werewolf & a lady in a shroud in my happy place and I truly thank God for them. They helped more than anyone can know!

I never could stand Granpa though. Look him up on "Car 54 Where are You?" He plays the part EXACTLY the same way he does here. You'd swear he's playing the same character. This is not the sign of a good actor if somebody plays the same part exactly the same way.

Also, he's supposed to come from Transylvania but he has a Brooklyn accent?? What's up with that?

I can't believe some guy is on here trying to say the Addams family was better. The whole problem with the Addams family is that they were all going out of their way to TRY to be weird. It all seemed very forced. I mean, okay if you like that sort of thing. With the Munsters it was just natural. They were the "average American family". That's one of the things that made it so funny. Also, Fred Gwynnes acting is top notch and really makes the show.
