Help!! 09 versys won't start

Went to take the versys out and encountered this. Anyone know whats happening?

Check battery clamps first.

Thanks for the comment, I hooked up a battery tender and that got it started. What threw me off was that weird clicking/grinding sound, that had me worried. Thanks!

@slowfaller The "clicking" is the starter solenoid. Basically, a symptom of a battery problem in the sense of poor charge or poor connections.

@slowfaller yer but i thoguht if yer battery is flat it wouldent even show the neutral light :s tht what happend to my bike, gotta kick start it then ride around to charge it.
