This game is currently a work in progress, it is written in C and uses libSDL for graphics output and controls.
I know, it's very mario-like. I guess it's still better than making a mario CLONE


(The graphics are all done by my little brother)

  • Not a bad start. You need to make gravity an acceleration though, it looks like you did it linearly.

  • @qmriis thanks for feedback. there is vertical acceleration, but it doesn't show very well, probably because of the camera panning. the second video shows acceleration clearly.

  • You should do two cloud layers:

    first would that before the mountain

    and

    second would be after the mountain...

  • @pufixas this is a good idea -- it would add more depth easily
