OMG! THE MOST MEMORABLE halftime show I've EVER seen during my time at UH!!! LOVED IT!!! the crowd's reaction to ridin' dirty "cutting off" the band and then the surprise dance number was PRICELESS!!!

Southern's Jukebox came to UH last year.
GSU's performance was so much better than Southern's.

I remember this!!!! Everybody was leaving the stands when UH came on the field and then came racing back because there was a change of plans. This was so priceless!!!! LOL

Those are two really good bands. Spirit of Houston is a great band. They don't get enough love from the Cougar faithful.

i was there on the other side. when they came out doing military marching me and my buddy, we were in band, didnt know what to think cuz they never do that and then ridin' dirty came on. it was badass

the style was never compromised. Every week (if you actually went to the games) Spirit of Houston performed a variety of styles. before this was precious lord take my hand and after this was a rock tune... Style was never compromised. I am proud of the UH band. Go Coogs

I'm an alum of the UH band and I love and support what they do but I feel that the band isn't really performing in a variety of styles. I go to the games every week (and have done so for the past 8 years) and it seems as if the UH band repeats shows more than they should or need to.(i.e. the CUSA Championship game and the Liberty Bowl were shows that the Cougar crowd had already heard multiple times) Again, I'm a strong band supporter but it's time to bring something new to the table.
