I had to replace the fuel lines (both feed and return) from the engine to the fuel tank. The fuel tank was also replaced.

  • @drsizzle215 Hi, you're right about the white ties. Thanks for the advise!

  • @Vmartin70EZ Hi, you need a fuel line repair kit to install the new fuel filter. I used 2 of these when I installed the fuel filter on the Caprice. The kit is made by Dorman - P/N 800-157. It's a 30" 3/8 steel fuel line, which includes the correct fitting for the filter (w/ O ring), and a comp. fitting to tie into the existing fuel line. These kits are available at your local auto store. Good luck!

  • I have a Chevy Astro van 97 the in line fuel filter is fused with the lines due to rust , I cannot remove the connections the nuts are totally worn do you recommend replacing them? and where I can get them?

  • those white zip ties by the rubber boot will crumble after a month or two of driving.

If they are of any importance I'd switch them out to black ones.

  • @Mavoss

    Thanks Mike!

  • Looks good! For the duration of the Capiece's life it will surely have fuel!
