I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from Verizon. 6 days later the tablet began rebooting uncontrolably. Verizon suggested I do a factory reset. I took it home, did a factory reset, and the tablet did not continue to reboot, but it refused to connect to my WIFI, which was working perfectly fine and was also the same WIFI that I had been connected to the first 6 days. I spoke to Samsung for over an hour. They suggested I return it. I returned it to Verizon, got a new one, and surprise surprise same problem. Anyone know what's going on or is having the same issue???

  • Hi! To those having a problem with stupid Samsung Galaxy 10.1 this is how you fix it. Turn the bloody thing off for at least 1 hour to let the battery cool down a bit. And after 1 hour turn it on again. That is how I fix mine from 2 weeks of frustrations. Till I gave in and turn it off. When I turn it on walah!!! So I hope it works with you guys! Good luck!

  • @lemartin68 My issue was not due to over using or a hot battery since the second tablet I got after I returned the first one was having the issue withing the 1st hour out of the box. I am glad the solution for your tablet was much easier though, although I would still be pissed if a $600+ piece of technology needed a "cool down" before a charge :)

  • You're not the only one who is having a head ache using this you said is a "piece of shit"? Yes, I believe you are right! This is really a PIECE of SHIT! Pardon my language..I have IPad2 but I never get any problem at all. Many advice is to return it to store where you bought it but mine unfortunately is from Dubai. So, it double SUCKS!! :(

  • @missterryify Hahaha I'm glad someone else thinks this tablet is a piece of shit because after I posted this is the heat of the moment I felt really bad for venting so harshly and using cuss words :P

  • i found the solution for this.. just restart your modem and delete all your wifi settings in your tablet..

  • @bluuur13 If that works for you that's great, but for $600+ I wouldn't expect to have to restart my modem every time I took my tablet out of the house. Maybe I'm just high maintenance :)

  • The only work around I have is to restart the home wireless modem/router. It always fixes the problem for me. But this reboot issue (don't think it does a reboot but just blacks out the screen for 15 - 20 secs) comes up sporadically. Sometimes, once in 2-3 days and sometimes 2-3 times a day even when it is connected to the wireless network.

  • @mrsinformed This is a great tablet! I bought this on Boxing Day and I haven't had a single fault with it, I love it :D

It's not a piece of shit, Samsung make a lot of the best products, the iPad is shit, the only good thing is there are slightly more decent apps but that doesn't bother me.

  • I've had the same problem again maybe once or twice but solved it in the same way. Beside that I don't have much more to complain about. I really love my tab.

  • @Toningue At the time the Tablet was the only device connected to the WiFi. I ended up returning it because I was still in my grace period where I would not get stuck with a contract or pay a restocking fee (although it took 3 phone calls to get all my money back). How is your Galaxy holding up today? I am curious how the new kindle with WiFi internet access performs...
