Written by Robyn St Clare. First released in 1990 on Billiepeebup (Half A Cow) by Australian indie pop duo Love Positions, consisting of Nic Dalton and Robyn St Clare. In 1993, Dalton replaced bass player Juliana Hatfield in the Lemonheads scoring a decent UK hit with this song. On the back of it, their album Come On Feel The Lemonheads powered into the UK Top 5.

  • I never knew this wasn't a Lemonheads' original. Sometimes I read the liner notes, and sometimes I don't. Nice job, Miss St. Clare!

  • Why in the world did this band create such a great song and another band is known for it. Unreal. Grew up on bands like LUSH and COCTEAU TWINS and I never heard of these guys. Do they have releases?

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • if you want to hear some more poppy faster work robyn was involved with, i'd suggest the hummingbirds, wonderful band.. :)

  • Japanese siamese twins vocalizing.

This is a case of the cover surpassing the original, I believe. Just like in the movies this is no easy feat so kudos to Dando and the Lemonheads. It doesn't happen in TV because TV shows are a series and not a single unit like songs and movies typically are.

A standout ex. of this phenomenon is Hendrix's cover of Dylan's "All along the watchtower". Dylan's lyrics + Jimi's music = 8^)

  • Very nice

  • PRECIOSA CANCIÓN SUENA ALGO PARECIDO A ALL APOLOGIES

  • I'd think that was Juliana Hatfield singing! hahaha I like the upbeat Lemonheads version, it's just right at that tempo, but Unplugged, as such, the original sounds like that style

  • @saguaroboy ........my favourite song to strum and howl along!

  • I love this version. Nice and mellow.
